Wenn ich in Deine Obhut sinke
schenke edle Träume mir
Damit ich nicht im Schlaf ertrinke
spende Deinen Segen mir
Dies ist ein Giftraum
Nichts vermag mich zu bedrängen
wie ein Traum in schwarzer Nacht
Darum flehe ich um Hilfe
erbitte hier um Deine Wacht
Mag das Tageslicht mich rufen
dann zurück aus Deiner Welt
Ich erwachen darf in Frieden
denn mich das am Leben hält
Schau mich an!
Was ist denn übrig von mir?
Hör mich an!
Und heile meine Wunden
Schau mich an!
Was ist denn übrig von mir?
Hör mich an!
In Ewigkeit verbunden.
Drohst Du einmal zu verzweifeln
schick' ich Dir Trost aus meinem Raum
Mein Verlust wird Dich nicht schmerzen
denn Du kennst mein Leben kaum
Obgleich ich keinen Groll verspüre
nehm' ich Abschied nun von Dir
Keine Zuflucht, kein Zuhause
ich schliess' die Tür jetzt hinter mir ...
I have been following VNV and attending their concerts for years. They are an amazing band, so prolific, well travelled, classy, and down to earth. Ronan is such a humble, amazing fellow. I'll never forget his taking a person's cellphone so he could give the person on the other end in hospital a front row experience. But this track, their music, is so moving. Lyrics are so well thought out, and their sound so consistently emotive over the years. Can't say enough good about VNV. realbibliodude
Manages to be suitably symphonic and possessed of a certain grandeur, but a couple of tracks cross the line into po-faced bombast. Why is the last track not 88/24 like all the others? awrc
“Strangers” is packed with wonderfully menacing electro-goth—late-night horror movie music for vampire dance parties. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2023
Terrific minimalist synth music from Melbourne, where robotic electronics lock into rigid beats to make a Kraftwerkian wonder. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2021
The more I listen to this the more trouble I have choosing favorite track. I also still think this is witchhouse. Also I think your cover art is incredibly good. But I don't think it is best of your art anymore. I'll switch to Crush for a moment. jesu82
